My approach to design is simple. I create from the perspective of the audience; for the real humans with lives, feelings, wants and needs who are looking at them.

Design should look great but it should also talk to the audience in a way they can understand and feel something about. There is plenty of pointless, aimless and dare I say, mindless content out there that doesn’t require thought. Businesses can not afford to have design that does not solve problems and exude value. It takes consideration, not just creativity.

If your designs for web, print, social and other communications are not getting attention and results, this may likely be the problem. Are they cluttered or confusing with poor typography? Is someone that understands the business creating them? Do they reflect who you are? Do they speak to the heart of your audience?

Great design accomplishes goals such as foot traffic, form conversions, cart checkouts, phone calls, likes and shares. Good design also demonstrates your understanding, empathy and connection to others.
